Maryam’s Mark & Co goal is to create apparel relating to the philosophy of “slow fashion.”  Slow fashion is a sustainable movement in which we are involved in our brand since the beginning in 2018.  The social and economic impact that occurs with the consumption of fast fashion is ideal for some but we at Maryam’s Mark & Co brand ourselves on taking our time to tend and grow into a sustainable environmentally safe, mostly hands-on brand approach while being a conscious creative organization.

So what is slow fashion?

Slow fashion is the movement of designing, creating, and buying garments for quality and longevity. The slow fashion movement has been studied by Kate Fletcher, a researcher, author, consultant, and design activist, and the author of Sustainable Fashion and Textiles. Her writings integrated design thinking with fashion and textiles as a necessary way to move towards a more sustainable fashion industry.
