Paschallville Free Library Re-Opening: Makes its Mark
Beside a Senator, Two State Representatives of Pennsylvania, where one is Speaker of the House, the City Council President, the President of the Philadelphia Library stood the Creative Director and Founder of Maryam’s Mark and Company/Art Socialize and Hosting Marks – Maryam A. Muhammad. Why? To discuss being the community leader in southwest and our community’s appreciation to have our libraries re-established. The neighbors and businesses of Southwest Philadelphia, including but not limited to Paschalville give our full appreciation towards restoring such a historic location with updated lights, crafting new woodwork, and ADA updates with a elevator, a ramp for the handicap (Maryam loves this feature as she became physically handicap during 2020), new media hub center, office space and of course new literature. Many of the details offered come from attending plenty of community meetings over the last four to five years. We again thank former Mayor Kelley for beginning the outstanding soda tax initiative to help pay for renovations to the City of Philadelphia and growing the infrastructure of not just the library but to the community and small/mid-sized businesses within our region – long overdue and ecstatic to be a part of the Paschalville Free Library of Philadelphia’s ribbon cutting ceremony – not just as a guest but as a speaker for Southwest Philadelphia. The library’s newly renovated architecture will wow you, make sure to schedule time to visit and check out some books. Rather sleek, it’s really beautiful – inside and out.
