Maryam Muhammad, founder of Maryam’s Mark & Co. LLC is a Mixed, Native-American handicap Muslim creative who earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Graphic Design and is studying for her MS in IT. Beginning her love for sketching at 7 years old, by secretly taking her brother’s art supplies to practice, later her hidden talents became noticed by her father (also an artist) and loved by all. By 10th grade, she earned a Fine Art Diploma from UPenn, plus completed the 1997 Microsoft Certified Professional Business Application Course which was a beta program to see if teens could learn how to use software properly. Upon completion of the Microsoft Course, Microsoft awarded Muhammad a Home-PC – then only at the young age of 15. Muhammad worked in the field for years for mid-sized marketing agencies and large federal agencies, at times as a arts and tech after-school program  director and substitute teacher before starting her own business – initially as a part-time side business. Keeping those skills and professions fresh, she started a remote-based business during 2013 which combined her skills of art and computer designs, again, initially as a secondary income however as life events occurred,  during 2019, Muhammad became handicap from a work-related incident while substitute teaching, leaving Maryam’s Mark and Co as her main income source. Her son, Isa is the co-founder and assistant designer of Maryam’s Mark and Co. Muhammad’s company offers mainly WordPress website development services, email marketing campaign management, and at time book and brochure illustrations to small and mid-sized existing businesses like Free Libraries, Indie Authors, Artist, Non-profit organizations, Health agencies and Sports/Trucking industries. Muhammad has also offered digital marketing workshops at business and creative conferences. While offering collaboration opportunities with business leaders to fill the “and company,” MM&Co host a vessel for businesses and constituents to connect together, sketching one community smile per brush stroke, both digitally and in-person to increase the net-worth of all who join.
